The Human Rights Campaign Foundation has again ranked Lexmark among the top companies for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) inclusion in the workplace.
Lexmark has been recognized on the index every year since 2005.
The foundation’s 2016 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBT workplace equality, ranks Lexmark with a perfect score of 100.
“We are pleased to again be recognized with a perfect score on the Corporate Equality Index, reinforcing our commitment to diversity and inclusion,” said Sheri Depp, director, Talent Management, Diversity and Corporate Citizenship at Lexmark. “We have worked hard to create an environment where people feel like they can succeed while being authentic—an environment where they can bring their entire self to work every day. ”
The 2016 CEI rated 1,027 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive healthcare benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBT community. Lexmark’s efforts in satisfying all of the CEI’s criteria result in a 100 percent ranking and the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality.
