Gartner Inc., an independent IT and research analyst firm, published its October 2012 Magic Quadrant for Managed Print Services, Worldwide (MPS) and Magic Quadrant for MFPs and Printers, Worldwide, and Lexmark was named a “leader” in both analyst reports, recognized for its “completeness of vision” and “ability to execute.”
Lexmark Named A MPS Leader
Gartner classifies leaders as organizations that according to Gartner, “Provide MPS to a wide range of customers, including the largest and most geographically dispersed, so they must demonstrate a truly global reach. They must demonstrate not only the skills to deliver today’s MPS, but also the understanding, initiative and resources to prepare for tomorrow’s MPS. Leaders characteristically augment the full scope of MPS with a wide range of added-value services. As a result, they are frequently shortlisted by large and midsize customers.”
Lexmark offers a comprehensive set of managed print services and capabilities that provide a consistent, global infrastructure to manage devices effectively and drive significant cost reductions. In addition, Lexmark’s solutions are customized to bring unique value to each customer when deployed in an MPS environment. By streamlining complex and dysfunctional business processes, Lexmark’s MPS has the capacity to deliver an immediate return on investment through increased worker productivity and effectiveness – enabling Lexmark’s customers to better focus on their core business and clients at the point of service.
Within the last 24 months, Lexmark competed for and won 17 new MPS contracts with companies listed on either the Global 500 or Fortune 500 lists, which is all new business to Lexmark. As a trusted source to many of the world’s largest companies, Lexmark also realized a 100 percent contract renewal rate with its MPS customers in 2011.
Lexmark Named A MFP Leader
Gartner classifies leaders as organizations that, according to Gartner, “Are the most capable in providing MFPs (including SMFPs), printers and the associated printing solutions and services, regardless of customer location.
Gartner also classifies leaders as:
- Providers in the Leaders quadrant offer the most extensive product portfolio relative to their peers, and they have the broad channel capability to deliver the products to customers where they want to procure them.
- Leaders hold consistently high market share worldwide and are capable of delivering consistent service levels in the regions where Gartner customers are located.
- Leaders tend to have the deepest global capability and the inventiveness and resources, skills and vision to deliver superior levels of support to existing and future customers globally.
- Leaders have a proven track record of channeling R&D initiatives into products and solutions that customers need.
As evidenced by Lexmark’s recent laser product announcement, the company is extending its leadership in smart MFPs with several next-generation devices, that when combined with the Perceptive Software portfolio, increase productivity by enabling users to submit and access their data at the right time and in the right format. With a wide breadth of laser product offerings, Lexmark can provide the best product to address a customer’s unique requirements.
