After a public vote around the world, Lexmark has been named the National Public Champion for Italy in this year’s European Business Awards. The awards were established to celebrate and promote business success, and support the development of a stronger business community throughout Europe.
Lexmark received the most votes in Italy after people around the world watched videos of all the competitors on the European Business Awards website. Each country has one National Public Champion (the National Champion with the most votes). Lexmark is one of 34 winners from a total of 636 National Champions that were chosen by an independent panel of judges for this year’s awards.
“We appreciate the support of all who voted and are honored to be named a National Public Champion for Italy,” said Sylvie Thomas, Lexmark’s head of corporate social responsibility and environmental affairs in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. “Lexmark is committed to being a responsible corporate citizen, and this award will help support our circular economy efforts and achievements.”
All 34 National Public Champions will now compete in the second and final round of public voting, which runs until April 27. The company with the most votes overall will be announced as the European Public Champion at a gala on May 4 in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
