Lexmark brought home an extra award from the 2017 Manufacturing Leadership (ML) Awards Gala.
Several Lexmarkers attended this month’s gala in Huntington Beach, California, to accept three ML Awards from Frost & Sullivan’s Manufacturing Leadership Council. The awards were announced earlier this year.
Additional awards were announced at the gala, including 12 recipients of the ML High Achiever Award. The award is presented to the ML Award-winning projects that received the most votes from the judges in each of the 12 ML Award project categories.
Lexmark won the High Achiever Award in the Internet of Things category for our ML Award-winning Predictive Service Project.
To sum up the project: Lexmark has built an operational analytics engine that leverages predictive algorithms and models based on device alerts and deep sensor data. Through this technology, we’ve been able to use the power of big data to bring new capabilities online, such as automatically initiating service requests to greatly reduce the support burden and end-user disruption for our customers.
“We were really excited to have the Manufacturing Leadership Council recognize our new capabilities and the benefits that our customers are observing when they partner with us,” said Phil Carter, director of proactive service management.
Lexmark’s other two ML Awards this year were in the Supply Chain Leadership category for our Finished Goods Pull Replenishment project, and in the Collaborative Innovation Leadership category for our Visual Process Management project. Learn more about Lexmark’s award-winning projects.
